Rich People Get Yer Checkbooks! There Will Be a Dior Cell Phone

Photobucket
Christian Dior will be launching their very first technological product, the Diorphone to be released this week in Dior's flagship Paris boutique on Avenue Montaigne. There are two types available for purchase-the clamshell mobile, and a more petite version that can be clipped to a purse or worn as a pendant, so you won’t need to rummage through your handbag to answer a call. Naturally, Dior has made the phone not just high tech, but luxurious as well, boasting a mirrored high-definition display screen than can double as a compact and scratchproof sapphire crystal casing. The phones retail for around $5,100 (that's all?!?), and will be in limited distribution at the Dior boutiques and 300 select watch and jewelry specialty retailers worldwide. However, if the regular Diorphone isn’t quite good enough for you, a deluxe model studded with 640 diamonds, which comes with an alligator sheath, will go for up to $27,000. Hmm...new car, or Diorphone? Not even a choice! Diorphone all the way!
