Slacker Chic of the Week: Milla Jovovich

Photobucket
Milla Jovovich is every girl's dream best friend. Down to earth, funny, a closet you could die in, and she could put any dude that dare get fresh with you down to the floor before he even knew what hit him. Despite all her years of success-and she has had many-she doesn't seem to have the arrogance about her that most celebs get mere moments after being declared "the next big thing". Maybe it's because of this that she has become one of the only models in history to successfully branch out seriously into the world of acting. Or maybe it's because instead of taking the first major role that came her way, she slowly worked her way up the acting ladder, respecting the craft and discipline it demands. The same could be said of both her singing and clothing label. When Jovovich Hawk was in it it's first few seasons, Milla and co-creator Carmen Hawk made each design by themselves. A testament to the fact that Milla is truely in it for the right reasons-wanting to create a quality product that stands the test of time, rather than cashing in on yet another trendy, fly by night celebrity line. Oh, and let's not forget the strong female characters he portrays oncreen! Leeloo in "The Fifth Element", Joan of Arc, Violet in "Ultraviolet" and of course, Alice in "Resident Evil". Even when kicking ass, she looks totally drop dead gorgeous and fashionable. If I were going to kick ass, I definetely would have worn her outfit from "Extinction". So fly! But no matter what she's doing, kicking ass and taking names, singing us a folk song, or whipping us up a chic yet practical evening look, we can't help but completely adore Milla Jovovich. And totally envy her closet.
