YSL Would Be So Proud

Photobucket
The current August issue of Vogue Italia pays tribute to the late, great fashion powerhouse Yves Saint Laurent with a cover story entitled "Silent". The black and white editorial, shot by the amazing Steven Meisel, is funeral themed and includes supermodels Linda Evangelista, Karen Elson, Guinevere van Seenus and Iris Strubegger. While some people may think that this could be considered capitalizing on YSL's memory to move copies, I personally think he would have loved it. Beautiful people in fabulous clothes amongst artitic settings being shot by a world renowned potographer? That's what he lived for, dahling.
