Let's Uh...Keep That To Ourselves...

Photobucket
There's a new bio about John Lennon in the works entitled John Lennon: The Life by Philip Norman which contains some pretty image damaging material. One claim being made is that Lennon had the hots for his mom. Yes, I know. It's grodie. At first I was reluctant to believe the allegations, however, a new tape- which you can listen to by clicking here- has surfaced which allegedly contains The Beatle talking about the first time he could recall having improper feelings toward his mother. I'm not going to go into detail because well, I don't even want to say such ickiness. It's all in the tape though so, you know, proceed with caution. My only question is, in this day and age when everything is made public, do you think there are some things that should remain private? Do you think knowing the deepest confessions of our icons is disrepectful, particularly when they are not alive to defend themselves?
