Eartha Kitt Passed Away

The beautiful *inside and out* and obscenely talented Eartha Kitt passed away yesterday at the age of 81. The actress/dancer/fashion icon overcame insurmountable odds during her lifetime, going from a South Carolina cotton field to the silver screen staring in hits like Dr. Faustus and The Mark of the Hawk. Eartha was also prominent on the Broadway stages, lending her voice in productions such as Timbuktu! and Nine. Although she received critical acclaim for her more serious work, Eartha is perhaps best known for her role as Catwoman on the Batman series.
The actress received several awards for her work onstage and off, collecting two Emmys (with a third nomination), two Tony Awards and a Grammy.
Eartha, who is survived by a daughter and two grand children, lost her battle with colon cancer yesterday on Chrismas Day. Although she is gone, the memories she left behind in both her movies as well as her autobiograhies are eternal.

More Timeless Elegance Over Here

Very sad to see Eartha pass on.

My parents had that album, "That Bad Eartha," which I played endlessly when I was a kid. And now look at me!
