Slacker Chic of the Week: Thandie Newton

Photobucket
If I could only use one word to describe Thandie Newton, it would be regal. Between her flawless face, her fierce attire, and her smooth, cool demeanor, Thandie always looks in control.
Although Thandie is mostly known for her dramatic roles in movies such as Crash, The Pursuit of Happyness and W., we finally got to see the actress loosen up a bit in last year's comedy "Run Fatboy, Run" exhibiting how versatile an actress she truely is.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother of two, Thandie often spends her time trying to give back. For example, in 2006 she wrote a forward for We Wish: Hopes and Dreams of Cornwall's Children, a book of children's writing published in aid of the NSPCC. She has also used her star power to help bring attention to both the green movement, as well as various organizations that raise money to help Darfur.
Thandie also has made no secret of the fact that she is bisexual, and has had a relationship with a woman. In an interview with The Advocate, she discussed her sexual orientation saying "We're all potentially bisexual; it all depends on your circle, your upbringing and all kinds of things. Or maybe I'm just talking about myself. I could've easily fallen in love with a woman over a man".
Thandie Newton is a true class act with beauty and brains. While she is no doubt beautiful, she doesn't rely on her looks to land her major movie deals. Instead she just depends on her raw talent. Which is why I can say with confidence that when it comes to Thandie's career, we ain't seen nothing yet. This woman will have the longevity of Meryl Streep. Trust me.

Yep, pretty much flawless! A role model for the more "mature"...
