Slacker Chic of the Week: Clea DuVall

You guys just don't even know about my deep love for Carnivale. When they took that show off the air, I felt like marching my tiny ass on over to HBO headquarters and giving them a good piece of my mind. Of course I didn't because I'm a slacker thus too lazy to do such a thing, but I had good intentions nonetheless. In Carnivale, Clea played the Omega Sofie, the tarot card reading daughter of the wicked Brother Justin who is later revealed to be the Usher. Her magnetic presence on screen (as well as her steamy eventually hookup with the hot as hell Nick Stahl) made her an integral part of the must see series.
In addition to television (also popping up on shows like Heroes and Grey's Anatomy), Clea has stared in oodles of Hollywood box offices hits such as Girl...Interrupted, The Grudge and the 2008 flick Passengers with Anne Hathaway. Although she has never quite garnered the attention she deserves, Clea continues her impressive career by flaunting both her mad acting skills and her unconventional beauty. This girl has carved out a unique spot for herself in the acting game, always staying true to who she is, instead of trying to conform to what Hollywood might want her to be. Perhaps it is for this reason that she has remained relevant for so long. You might not see her in Star or The Enquirer, but that's ok. She'd rather focus on running her lines than running to The Ivy with Lindsay. But that's why we love her. And that's why she's our Slacker Chic of the Week.
