Slacker Chic of the Week: Amanda Seyfried

Photobucket
I am a raging cynic by nature. I think oftentimes-especially in Hollywood-people have a tendency to be sneaky, insincere and not necessarily good by nature. This rule of thumb however does not apply to the lovely Ms. Amanda Seyfried, whose very presence causes me to conjur up mental images of rainbows, puppies and sand between my toes. The actress radiates a genuineness that is rare in her profession, thus making her not only a valuable commodity, but an absolute joy to watch onscreen.
Perhaps it is this attribute that has contributed to the massive success Amanda's had, particularly in the last few years. Ever since her breakout role in 2004's "Mean Girls", the actress has been steadily working her way up the Hollywood ladder, nabbing coveted roles in "Big Love", "Mamma Mia!" and the upcoming Diablo Cody flick "Jennifer's Body". She has also signed on for three more projects including an adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play "A Woman of No Importance". Clearly not an autobiographical choice for Ms. Seyfried who will surely be lighting up the silver screen for many years to come.

i agree! she was very charming and endearing in Mama Mia and in my opinion one of the best on Big Love (and perhaps the only normal one).
