Anna Friel in August's Glamour UK

Ah Anna Friel. What a breathe of fresh air. In addition to being in the
August issue of Vanity Fair, the Brit can also be seen in her hometown's Glamour looking as adorable and fresh faced as ever. However, while I am no doubt glad that people are finally starting to sit up and take notice of the Friel charm, I must admit that I am disappointed that she could not have been the next big thing before ABC went and cancelled her now defunct show Pushing Daisies. Not to sound like a broken record, but honestly that network did absolutely zero marketing for the show. In fact, while watching the final three episodes which aired last month, I remember seeing more commercials in the one hour for that cookie cutting, brain cell shrinking, no plot having bullshit reality show called "Here Come the Newlyweds" than I ever saw for Daisies. Now I love trash television as much as the next girl, but it's a sad day when disposable filler television is considered more watchable than an inventive, unique, well written comedrama with an amazing backdrop and cast.
But no use crying over spilt milk. What's done is done and it doesn't seem Anna's too torn up about the whole ordeal. Then again, with a blossoming movie career like hers, why would she be?
