Zoe Saldana Dives In for December's Details

I finally saw Star Trek over the weekend guys and I have to tell you, it was friggen awesome!!! Going into the film I had no idea what to expect because I had never seen one episode of the show (I know, I know, crime against humanity). However my expectations were blown away thanks to the movie's unbelievable sets, incredibly engaging dialogue and of course, the dreamteam of Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana-Or as I like to call them "Zzzzs" (What? Not as catchy as "Bennifer"?). Their chemistry was incredible, and despite this being Zoe's first staring role, she commanded the screen.
Thanks to her turn in Star Trek, Zoe has become one of the most in demand young actresses in Hollywood, with a whopping 7 films slated for release in the next year including the highly anticipated James Cameron flick "Avatar". Zoe sat down with Details to take a couple of sessy pictures, talk about kicking ass, and her newfound love for Wushu. Here are a few excerpts:

-----
On her back to back films, "Star Trek", "Avatar" and "The Losers": "I've become a little action whore," Saldana says. "I've always gravitated toward the Sigourney Weavers, the fucking Linda Hamiltons, the Angelina Jolies. I just love strong women that are in tune with their bodies—that don't just use their bodies as sex tools. I'm very dominant—feisty. I'm not a man-hater, just a very proud woman."
On having the stamina to get down to the nitty gritty: "I'm such a physical person, action-film work came natural," Saldana says. "Even at 5 years old, I was watching Sarah Connor. If you fucking switched the channel to The Last Unicorn, I would've been like, 'Ah, Jesus—just find your way home, you fucking unicorn!'"
J.J. Abrams on Zoe's abilities: "ZoĆ«'s definitely fiery," says Abrams, who has already signed her for the Star Trek sequel. "She has the fortitude for you to put her in control. She could really do the job—not just look good in a ridiculously short dress."
On learning Wushu for "Avatar": "Wushu is the shit!" she gushes. "It's very artistic—it's what Jet Li does." She managed to beat her trainer after five months, she brags, and that was two years ago.
"So you can take Jet Li now?" (asks the Details interviewer)
"Well, maybe Jackie Chan," she says, taking the last sip of her pomegranate tea.

A girl with a potty mouth who worships Sigourney Weaver and the "Fucking" Sarah Conners of the world?!? I think I'm in love.

And Is it too cheesy to say that Zoe's career is certainly going to live long and prosper?

lol not cheesy at all :) Star Trek took me by surprise too cause I've never been a fan of the show and didn't really care about the movie but it's so good and Zoe and Zachary had some serious chemistry. Is it bad that I was crushing on Zachary's charcter more than that other guy who's name I forget? Any who I've always liked Zoe ever since Crossroads with britney spears lol

Nice..and glad you enjoyed Star Trek. We saw it when it first came out back in May and I knew right then that this was the best movie of the year, for me anyway. And Zoe's career looks very bright now.
