I just received my latest copy of W in the mail and imagine my suprise when I saw that July's covergirl was none other than the classy, the beautiful, the talented, Eva Mendes. Ms. Mendes (aka Sofia Loren's doppleganger) opens up to the mag about her Calvin Klien ads, getting naked on film and how she's in control of her career. Here are are a few excerpts from the mag including Eva's stunning photoshoot. Enjoy!
■On becoming a mother: “I’ve never had a longing to have children,” she says. “I’ve been thinking about it lately because it’s like, Oh, God, am I going to do this? I don’t know is the answer.”
■On her Calvin Klein ads: “There I was,” she says, “all greased up, my head thrown back, and I thought, Who are you? Are you kidding me?” Later that day the curvy beauty, now ensconced in a banquette at the Carlyle hotel restaurant, laughs as she recounts how disconnected the sighting made her feel. “There’s that little surreal moment,” Mendes says. “I’m proud of it, absolutely, because why not? I can access that side quite easily, and I enjoy it, but certainly how boring if that was all I had to offer. The goal is to explore all sides.”
■Nobody knows how funny she is: “It’s very hard for me to be seen as funny, and the truth is, that’s where I’m most comfortable,” she says when talk turns to her latest film, The Other Guys, which opens in August and also stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Mendes plays über woman Sheila Gamble, a Knicks dancer–turned–doctor married to a dunderhead of a forensics cop (Ferrell) who doesn’t realize what a babe his wife is. “These are the two comments I get from people when they meet me,” says Mendes, who lives in Los Angeles but is in New York for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala. “‘You seem a lot taller on film,’ and ‘You’re funny.’ If people hang out with me, they see I’m a ham.”
■On her comedic turn in The Other Guys: “It was completely liberating,” she says of the opportunity to play in another key. “Never have I had so much fun with a character and felt so natural at it. Had I done this movie three years ago, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to throw it back at Will, and now, if anything, I was overly confident. I didn’t know when to stop!”
■On nudity in a film: “I’ve never had a problem with nudity, but I don’t put it out there without a reason,” says Mendes. “I’m not an exhibitionist. But, honestly, for my art I’ll do anything, almost. I’ll go there.”
■Eva is “incredibly calculated” about her career: “I know I walk a fine line between being a respected actor and being what they call a sex symbol,” she says. “It’s a hard one to walk if you want to be known as a real, credible actor. But I’ve never felt objectified. Nothing you see me do is an accident. I might act like it’s an accident, but the opposite is true. I’m incredibly calculated when it comes to my career.”

Megan Fox, Mannequins and McDean for Interview Magazine

Ok so I know in the past I've sworn off Megan Fox on the basis of being the Dark Paris Hilton, but there's just something about her pale skin, dark hair, tattoos and bitchy ass attitude that always have me coming back for more. Even though I know better it's like the brain inside my feminine body cannot help but betray me for some pretty pictures and a couple tattoos. Damn you, likemindedness!
Anynopropertransitionintothisparagraph, aside from being featured in the new Josh Brolin film "Jonah Hex", Megan aka Foxy aka DPH can currently be seen in a stunning pictorial for the June issue of Interview magazine. The spread, shot by photographer Craig McDean, features Foxy getting intimate with a glassy eyed Megan Fox mannequin. I always love the Mannequin themes, and not just because they remind me of Kim Cattrall in the 80's. I mostly take a shine to them because they so accurately reflect the role of women even in modern times-beautiful creatures expected to present themselves perfectly, stand there still and keep their mouths shut. Of course this editorial would probably seem a bit more iqonic if it featured, say, Zoe Saldana, but what are you going to do? Foxy is still gorgeous, McDean is still a genius, and these pictures are still great. So just like a mannequin (for once!) imma shut up and enjoy!

The Best and Worst of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards

Ok so last night was the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, right? So you'd think the stars would come out dressed to dazzle, right? Wrong. Those bitches were so boring I could hardly be bothered to muster up a best and worst dressed list. Which is why I've done something a little different. Rather than ripping apart the fashions, here are some of my choices for the best and worst of last night. Sadly, none of which involve Kristen Stewart plainly telling the Twilight fans to suck it.
Hottest Scarlett Johansson: Scarlet Johansson (Yes, you read that right)
Best Use of Glitter/Best Wig: Katy Perry with a "Y"
Biggest Attempt at Famewhoring By a Group or Duo: LMFAO
Best Attempt At Covering Up Shame, Dissappointment and Failure: Paris Hilton
Sneakiest Party Crasher You Just Know Didn't Have a Ticket: Lindsay stoop-so-Lohan
Hottest Lesbian: Russel Brand
Laziest Wardrobe By a Celeb Who Isn't Seasoned Enough to Dress Like Adam Sandler Yet: Michael Cera
Best Bong Hitter/Hottest Legs: Kristen Stewart
Ect, ect,

Kristen Stewart is Elle Ellegant

As you guys well know, if there is one leading lady who has stolen my heart like a clepto at a diamond convention, it's poor little bitch girl Kristen Stewart. I love everything about this doll-faced darling, especially how flawlessly her style has evolved over the last few months. Since taking on the role as Joan Jett in "The Runaways", Kristen has not only nabbed countless coveted magazine covers, but she's turned into a fabulous fashion goddess straight out of my nightmares. (Because us grumpy girls love nightmares, not dreams!) Therefore it is with two of the seven dealiest sins (Pride and Envy, ya'll) that I present to you the gorgeously katastrophic Miss Kristen looking devilishly devine in the July issue of Elle UK. I'd point out which articles of clothing are my favorite, but I want them all. Unfortunately the garbs probably cost an arm and a leg, but don't worry: You can copy Kristen's signature scowl for free :)

Dita Von Teese Dazzels in May's Yo Dona Magazine

I know I haven't done this in a while, but whose ready for a little MONDAY MORNING WITH DITA VON TEESE?!? Lord knows I am! Then again, I'm down for every day with Dita. This week, we feature the burlesque baby in a smokin' editorial from the May issue of Yo Dona magazine. Looking as unconventionally beautiful as ever, Dita dons a series of high fashion garbs and high as hell hair for a photoshoot that's nothing short of fabulous. I've also added some additional pics of Dita from a recent red carpet for the Cointreaupolitan Cocktail 2. And while they're not quite as unique as these shots for Yo Dona, there's just something about seeing our old school senorita gingerly nursing a cocktail that makes me want to quote lines from Casablanca while tossing a gimlet in some fresh talking lassie's face.

Girls will be fabulous.
